Accessing Sekando Web Toolkit APIs on a website requires registering that website's hostname with an account. One account can register up to 5 hostnames. When a browser makes a request to the API, the request is authenticated by verifying that the hostname in the Referer header has been registered.
To register a hostname, go to the hostnames page in the Web Toolkit Console and click the "Add a hostname" button. Make sure you input the full hostname including www. and/or other subdomains.
Each hostname has an API key associated with it. This is to verify that the entity in control of the Web Toolkit account is also the owner of the website accessing Web Toolkit APIs. Currently, requests made to Feednami do not require use of the API key for compatibility reasons, but for new features it will be required.
